Alan Blacher

Alan has been a television lighting designer and has many shows on the air including: The Harry Connick Show, The Dr. Oz Show, The Maury Povich Show, The Jerry Springer Show, The Steve Wilkos Show, The Wendy Williams Show, and The Rachael Ray Show. 

In the past he worked on All My Children, Good Monring America, The Rosie O'Donnell Show, and The Martha Show.  

 

He has won multiple Emmy Awards for his work on All My Children, Good Morning America, The Rosie O'Donnell Show, and has received dozens of nominations for his designs on other shows.

Alan was born in Los Angeles, California and grew up in the San Gabriel Valley in the town of Alhambra.  Although he was encouraged to enter into a business career, he followed his passion and graduated from UCLA with a Bachelors and Masters degree in Theatre.  He soon became employed in theatrical venues around Los Angeles and took the position of theatre management professor at California Institute for the Arts and taught lighting design and theatre management.   

Alan Blacher & Associates is a Lighting Design Company specializing in lighting design composition for the television industry. We design and staff television projects. Rennagel, Mitchell Bogard and Michael Gottlieb. All of our designers have years of experience in television lighting design and all have designed a variety of theatrical and industrial projects.
