Bernadette Aulestia is President, Global Distribution, for Home Box Office, Inc., overseeing $5 billion in annual revenue and all distribution operations of the company’s services and platforms worldwide. Internationally, she is responsible for the operations of HBO branded networks in 67 countries. Domestically, she leads distribution efforts for the premium networks HBO and Cinemax, whether it be through cable, satellite, and telco companies or in the critical lodging business. Aulestia oversees HBO’s Affiliate Marketing group, which is responsible for the acquisition and retention of subscribers across all distributor partners. Aulestia also heads digital distribution efforts, including the streaming products HBO GO, MAX GO and the newly launched HBO NOW; and HBO Home Entertainment. She was named to this position in June 2015.


Aulestia joined HBO in 1997. Responsible for developing strategic marketing plans to increase HBO’s presence in Hispanic markets, she successfully designed and oversaw the execution of the network’s first

national Hispanic brand campaignandthe creationof HBOLatino. Prior to joining HBO, Aulestia worked at Univision Communications, Inc., Turner Broadcasting Systems, Inc., and Kidder, Peabody Inc. Aulestia holds a BA in Economics from Brown University.

Aulestia sits on the board and is Vice Chair of The T. Howard Foundation, an industry consortium and non-profit designed to foster and increase diversity in the media industry. She is actively involved in a number of industry organizationsincluding Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) and has served as a TechStars mentor for the past two years. In additional she is also a Trustee of Brown University. Aulestia was honored in 2017 Fast Company’s Top 100 Creative People in Business and 2016 Fortune’s Top 50 Latina Women in Business.

She resides in South Orange, NJ with her husband and 3 daughters.
