Joey Truty is a Program Scheduling Coordinator at AMC and SundanceTV. He works with both the linear and advanced platform teams to curate movie and show experiences and contributed to the launch of AMC’s first premium subscription service – AMC Premiere. During his time at both networks, AMC has continued their reign, housing the number one show on television, and SundanceTV has continued to see ratings growth year-over-year.
Prior to joining AMC Networks, Joey worked across the NBCUniversal Cable Lifestyle Portfolio as a temporary Program Planning Coordinator for the EVP of Program Strategy. While there, he was part of the team that contributed to Bravo’s unprecedented ratings growth and emergence as a leader in female-focused programming. Before this position, Joey also explored opportunities in PR, production, and development. His intern career saw him at truTV, MSNBC’s successful Morning Joe, working with Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers, developing a pilot for Pivot, assisting on a new show for Food Network, and contributing to the final season of What Not to Wear.
Outside of the office, Joey is a freelance video game journalist for British gaming website NitchiGamer and applies what he has learned about the evolving TV industry to other media industries. He graduated NYU with a Bachelor of Science in Media, Culture, and Communication and enjoys continuing to learn about the industry every day.
