Molly West currently oversees the global advertising sales operations team responsible for all post-sales processes for television. Her responsibilities include strategically supporting the Global TV Ad Sales teams in achieving revenue goals, driving effective post-sales processes for day to day book of business, improving ad sales systems, implementing effective processes to accurately traffic and air commercials, maximizing staffing resources for the growing marketplace complexities, and hiring top talent for the business.
Prior to her promotion, Molly was a Senior Director, International Ad Sales Operations team where she led the new International Ad Sales Ops team to drive operational strategy and provide consultative support for the growing International division. The position provided an opportunity to share best practices between the US and International teams including process and technology advancements. The position required oversight of the New York and Florida based Operational staff.
Molly is a graduate of the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute. She has been a mentor & mentee in the ESPN Mentoring programs and is a member of ESPN’s Employee Resource Groups: ESPN Women,
ESPN ENABLED, and EFAM. She is also a member of WICT and The President’s Council of Cornell Women.In addition to her core responsibilities, Molly was responsible for co-developing a very successful departmental leadership program called Cornerstones of Leadership (2010-2015). The focus of the program is to provide insight to the participants about the greater Business Operations team and also provide the tools to drive personal insight and awareness to aid in their growth and development. Even though the Cornerstones of Leadership Program has ended, she continues to support others’ growth and development. Currently she is mentoring a number of individuals both internal and external to ESPN. She has also been named a Diversity and Inclusion Champion for the Sales and Marketing team and is collaborating with a strong internal team to drive greater diversity and inclusion for the division and the larger company.
Molly started her team development/ leadership skills early in her life. She graduated from Cornell in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in Human Services and a certificate in Social Work. Molly was a goalie and elected team captain of the women’s field hockey team, garnering first team All-American honors and Second team All-Ivy League honors. She led her team to their first time bid to the ECAC tournament. She is a member of the Cornell class of 2011 Cornell Athletic Hall of Fame.
Molly lives in Jersey City, New Jersey with her husband Brian and their 10 year old son Logan.
