Executive Vice President, Search Management and Research
Executive Vice President of Search Management and Research, Reneé Hauch leads CRI's highly regarded research team in its work analyzing media and telecommunications trends and vetting candidates. A veteran of the executive search industry since 1991, she joined Carlsen Resources, Inc. in 2001 identifying and recruiting exceptional senior-level talent specifically for media content companies. Expert in all facets of the executive search process from creating a strategic search plan to recruiting and negotiation, Renee serves as a trusted liaison between client and candidate and, in doing so, drives the best possible matches between them, which in turn impacts the overall success of CRI's client companies.
A dedicated student of media as a market sector, Renee is exceptionally knowledgeable about current issues in the industry, cultivating that knowledge base through her active involvement in organizations including Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in
Communications (NAMIC) and the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM). She is often tapped as a speaker on content related recruiting and organizational development.
Prior to joining Carlsen, Renee was a recruiter for Bishop Partners, where she led cable, technology and publishing searches and managed the research department. She began her executive search career as an associate with Gilbert Tweed Associates where she conducted research and led search efforts for energy, utility and chemical companies. She also worked in corporate marketing and public relations with Merkle Computer Systems and the Urban Land Institute. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Virginia Tech University and holds a Master's degree in Marketing from the University of Maryland.
• Renee doesn't give up on any search. She's tenacious and an attentive listener. That allows her to listen, really listen, to clients and deliver candidates who meet the client's needs - dedicated to getting to know the company and the role as thoroughly as the candidates. In true Carlsen style, Renee genuinely cares about people, and this level of care and interest is integral to the strategy that built the company. It's resulted in long-lasting relationships and referrals from satisfied clients and candidates alike.
• Renee is one of the enviable few people who has built a career out of her two passions-a love of people and television. In the ever-changing entertainment industry, she is tuned into the pulse and direction of the viewing audience on all platforms. Her deep understanding of this, as well as her uncanny ability to see around corners and listen to the distant signals, allows her to field the exceptional candidates Carlsen is known for.
