Shannon Shae Montoya is a strategic marketer with over 20 years of experience in creating and executing unique and impactful end-to-end marketing programs and best-in-class customer experiences. An innovative, intuitive, and passionate storyteller, Shannon combines her diverse brand, agency, media, and technology experience to create transformative marketing campaigns that drive results.

Currently, Shannon is the Global Head of Partnerships, Industry, & Experiential Marketing at Verizon Media. In this role, she oversees the management and activation of key industry partnerships and develops strategic marketing programs and experiences that showcase Verizon Media’s positioning as a top-tier advertising and creative partner.


Prior to joining Verizon Media, Shannon held key marketing roles at Meredith and Time Inc. where she helped to lead rebranding and positioning efforts following the sale of Time Inc. to Meredith and the spin-off of Time Inc. from Time Warner respectively. Shannon has also held critical roles at Momentum Worldwide (IPG) where she led on the development of programs for American Express Centurion Members around marquee moments, including the World Cup, Wimbledon, French Open, and Monaco Grand Prix, and The New York Football Giants.


Shannon has a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Arizona and a Master of Sports Business degree from New York University. She is passionate about education and is a member of the adjunct faculty of the New York University Preston Robert Tisch Institute for Global Sports where she takes pride in educating the next generation of sports marketing leaders. Shannon also sits on the boards of DPAA WE.DOOH and The Female Quotient. Shannon lives in Brooklyn with her French husband Cyril and bi-lingual son Íñigo. They share a love of art, music, nature, and of course France football (Allez les Bleus).
