Director, Talent Strategy & Recruitment

Spectrum Networks

Shasta Gomez is the Director of Talent Strategy & Recruitment for Spectrum Networks. Distinguishing herself first in HR Operations, Shasta spent the early part of her career refining HRIS processes, candidate assessments, training programs and more. Moving into the recruiting space, as a Senior Recruiter and Talent Program Manager, she built both her expertise and the company’s cachet by identifying opportunities to implement creative sourcing strategy, invigorating the pipeline and revamping recruiting plans. She now leads a nationwide effort to identify and acquire world-class talent, providing guidance and support to a team of talented recruitment specialists who support over 30 local news and regional sports networks in 12 states around the country.

As she continues to grow as an HR and recruiting professional, Shasta brings her background in Marketing to the fore. Her collaborations with national executive leadership to craft innovative hiring strategies continue to build the employment brand, highlight the company culture, and tell the Spectrum Networks story. Harnessing social media and professional networking tools to extend the reach of her teams’ initiatives, Shasta partnered with internal and agency leaders to create targeted campaigns that engage active and passive candidates. Her insight into supporting the needs of a decentralized recruiting team, combined with a deep passion for improving candidate experience, make her an integral part of the talent acquisition team.

Shasta is also deeply committed to finding the next generation of Spectrum Networks talent and placing them where they can learn and thrive. As a major contributor to the business’s diversity and inclusion efforts, Shasta values opportunities to connect personally with bright up-and-coming leaders in television and news. She relishes opportunities to lead on-campus talent programs, and is honored to represent Spectrum Networks at national industry events and professional symposia such as Future Now.

Shasta attended Angelo State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and has received a Professional Certification in Human Resources.
