Sumaiya Ananna is the Founder of UNIQUE SIGNATURE FILMS. She is a filmmaker and an educator who has completed her MA from Johns Hopkins University in Film and Media Studies. She has worked on the sets of House of Cards, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, The Voice, and several other productions. She has worked with Sesame Workshop, Producers Guild of America, SAG-AFTRA, and the Tribeca Film Institute. Sumaiya is on the screening committee for the Maryland Film Festival, Loudoun Arts Film, Woodstock Film Festival and has programmed the first virtual Movie Industry Conference at the Bushwick Film Festival where she is currently producing monthly Conversation Series with industry professionals. She believes in paying it forward and mentors students every year via JHU’s network, One Hop Mentoring.
