HBO Documentary Programming
Tina Nguyen is the VP of HBO Documentary Programming. Her career began as a staff writer for the Los Angeles Times. She later worked on several major PBS tentpole science documentary series, including Rx For Survival which explored global epidemics and was narrated by Brad Pitt. She then went on to produce and showrun cable programming for Discovery, National Geographic, Food Network and HGTV where she worked new franchises with the Property Brothers. She then joined the Travel Channel to oversee international series, and eventually switched over to digital content at Vox Media where she launched video teams, channels and led production at the company’s branded content studio. Currently at HBO, her job entails developing and overseeing documentary films and series.
