Director of Production, Corporate Marketing
As Director of Production, Tyra Hanshaw is responsible for overseeing production operations within the Corporate Marketing department. She executes campaigns and marketing initiatives across all of AMC Networks’ brands, SVOD services and business units, including cable networks AMC, BBC America, IFC, SundanceTV, and WE tv; fast-growing streaming services Acorn TV, ALLBLK, Shudder, and Sundance Now, as well as premium streaming bundle AMC+; independent film distributor IFC Films; and AMC Networks International.
An expert content and marketing executive with over 25 years of experience in production management spanning multiple content disciplines, Hanshaw currently leads a team that supports all departments, networks, SVODs, and properties within the AMC Networks’ portfolio. In her role, she manages multiplatform marketing and communications campaigns for numerous audiences and initiatives. Hanshaw skillfully oversees all aspects of asset production from creative development to delivery and works cross-departmentally, coordinating with various teams to facilitate on-air, off-air, social, digital, and corporate marketing goals.
Beyond her role in corporate marketing, Hanshaw is actively committed to creating an inclusive and equitable workplace at AMC Networks. She served as a founding member of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, an internal group that was instrumental in the formation of the companies essential Employee Resource Groups. Hanshaw is also a champion of mentoring and professional development programs and initiatives both within the company and externally, serving as a member of the Talent and Workforce Taskforce and Chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Mentoring Committee where she created an award-winning internal reverse mentoring program.
Prior to joining AMC Networks in 2013, Hanshaw held various positions in broadcast promotions, branded content, commercial advertising and content production with Beehive Inc, Big Film Design, and Click 3X.
Hanshaw is a longtime member of the National Association For Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC), as well as a graduate of the NAMIC Executive Leadership and Development Program Class XIX, and a member of the NAMIC Marketing & Communications Member Group Leadership Team. A graduate of the State University of New York at New Paltz, Hanshaw is also a member of the Television Academy.
